The short version: we do not collect it.

When you create a Staffroom account, we ask for your email address. That is it. We need it to verify who you are so you can log in. We do not ask for your school, your sector, or anything else about you. We are not building a profile. We are not selling you anything.

What happens when you use the tools

Nothing is saved. Every time you use a Staffroom tool, it is a fresh call. There is no history between sessions, no stored documents, and nothing held on our servers or the servers of any provider we use. When you close the tab, it is gone.

This is not an accident. The tools have been deliberately designed this way.

The AI we use

Staffroom uses a paid version of a leading AI model. Paid access means your inputs are never used to train the underlying model. What you type stays between you and the tool.

A note on student names

Even with these protections in place, we recommend using false student names when generating report comments or analysing writing. This keeps you compliant with your employer's AI use policies, whether you are in a government, Catholic, or independent school, and is just good practice.

That is genuinely it.

No data broker. No marketing list. No upsell. Just a tool that respects your privacy and your students'.
